A West Texas transplant, Amy Curry moved to Dallas in 2003 to pursue a career in graphic design. While scouring the city for design work, she started freelancing under the company name Blue Cedar Design, which helped her land the job that launched her career. She spent five years with D Magazine Partners as the art/production director for its nine-community newspaper group, serving the most affluent neighborhoods in Dallas.
In 2011, Amy went back to college to finish her Bachelor’s degree, changing her major from History to Criminal Justice (yes, she loves Law & Order that much) and graduated from the University of Texas. Last year, Amy took the leap and moved BCD to Fort Collins to pursue her most recent goal of becoming a designing mountaineer and urban farmer.
When Amy isn’t creating new marketing material or watching SVU marathons, she enjoys riding her motorcycle through the mountains, playing beach volleyball with her new Colorado pals, volunteering with CASA House and spending time with her dogs Sophie and Penny.
